Charlie Christian was considered one of (if not THE) the original electric guitar hero. Charlie became known through his recordings with the Benny Goodman Orchestra, starting in 1939. John Hammond, the noted talent scout and record producer, considered Charlie Christian the best improvisational talent
of the swing era.
